SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced a series of appointments to various positions within California state agencies and organizations.

Gloria Sandoval, Christine McMorrow, Leah Medrano, Kateryna Dove, Samuel Buenrostro, Tia Dwyer, Cindy Haase, Olivia Kernen, Christopher Meza, Evelyn Gonzalez Reyes, Harold Hewitt, Andrea Rosales, and Timothy Sheldon are among the individuals appointed by Governor Newsom to fill important roles in the state government.

Gloria Sandoval has been appointed as Deputy Secretary for Access at the California Natural Resources Agency. Christine McMorrow will serve as a Strategic Communications, Education and Outreach Advisor at the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Leah Medrano has been appointed Deputy Director of the Film and Television Tax Credit Program at the California Film Commission. Kateryna Dove will take on the role of Policy Director at the State Board of Education.

Samuel Buenrostro, Tia Dwyer, Cindy Haase, Olivia Kernen, Christopher Meza, Evelyn Gonzalez Reyes, Harold Hewitt, Andrea Rosales, and Timothy Sheldon have also been appointed to various committees and advisory boards within the state government.
